CRB Checks
The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) provides access to criminal records information through its Disclosure service. Organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors can now make safer recruitment decisions by asking successful job applicants to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure.
Adapt (North East) is a Registered Umbrella Body with the CRB and, as such, can process these checks for you. There is currently no charge for a voluntary worker, however, for paid workers there is a £36 charge for the disclosure plus a £20 administration fee.
If your organisation works with children or vulnerable adults then CRB checks are essential.
Please bring the required documentation with you when you come for your appointment and also the fee payable from your organisation. We accept cash or cheques - please make cheques payable to Adapt (North East).
