Passenger Assistant Training Scheme (PATS)

The Passenger Assistant Training Scheme (PATS) has been developed for people who undertake the role of passenger assistant.  Sometimes called escorts, passenger assistants  have a duty of care towards the passenger and PATS training helps to identify and clarify what the responsibilities of the passenger assistant are.  PATS raises awareness of the legal, practical and safety issues surrounding the passenger assistant role and improves the skills of the passenger assistant in understanding the needs of passengers.

PATS is a modular training programme and is open to any organisation that employs, uses or supplies passenger assistants.  Training is delivered over a one day period.
