MiDAS

We are committed to ensuring the safe transportation of all our passengers.  By delivering MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) to all of our drivers and anyone who drives our minibuses, we aim to ensure all drivers’ skills are to an acceptable standard.  The scheme aims to make drivers aware of the legal, practical and safety issues surrounding minibus driving and the transportation of passengers.

MiDAS courses are delivered by a Driving Standard Agency approved driving instructor on  a monthly basis and the  course takes one day to deliver, comprising a theory session and a one-hour driving assessment.

Drivers that undertake the standard training receive a certificate which enables them to drive non-accessible minibuses.  A certificate to drive an accessible minibus is awarded to drivers who undertake both the standard training and the additional training.  A standard certificate can be upgraded to an accessible certificate at any time if the driver undertakes the required training.

A standard course costs £65 and an accessible course costs £75.
